The 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) is the voice of European Industry and Research for next generation networks and services. Its primary objective is to contribute to Europe’s leadership on 5G, beyond 5G and SNS/6G research. The 6G-IA represents the private side in both the 5G Public Private Partnership (5G-PPP) and the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). In the 5G-PPP and SNS JU, the European Commission represents the public side. The 6G-IA brings together a global industry community of telecoms & digital actors, such as operators, manufacturers, research institutes, universities, verticals, SMEs and ICT associations. The 6G-IA carries out a wide range of activities in strategic areas including standardization, frequency spectrum, R&D projects, technology skills, collaboration with key vertical industry sectors, notably for the development of trials, and international cooperation. This deliverable belongs to the set of WP7 deliverables, and it is directly linked to Task 7.1 Dissemination and Communication Activities and Task 7.2 Engagement in 5G-PPP Activities of WP7 framework. T7.1 main objective is to describe initial impact plans and to devise and deploy sound impact creation action plans and strategies, required to achieve maximum visibility, as well as to maximize impact within business and scientific communities, guaranteeing fast and efficient communication, dissemination, exploitation and adoption of its outputs. Planned activities will be monitored throughout the project lifetime and periodically amended, so to ensure long term effectiveness and attainability. Dissemination activities will target related markets and industries with the objective of fully exploiting the novel business opportunities that are raised from related market activities and business functions. In parallel, T7.2 focuses on the engagement with 5G-PPP activities. The project and technical coordinators of the project represent EVOLVED-5G in Steering Board and Technology Board respectively. In addition, the project contributes to 5G-PPP advances through its participation to several 5G-PPP Working Groups (e.g., SME, Pre-Standardization, Architecture, Test, Measurement and KPIs Validation). The Architecture Working Group publishes the Release V4.0 of its White Paper “View on 5G Architecture”. In this Release, the Architecture Working Group provides a consolidated view of the architectural efforts developed in the projects of the 5G PPP and other research efforts, including standardization. This serves not only to review the current state of the 5G architecture, but to also identify promising trends towards the next generation of mobile and wireless communication networks, namely 6G.
